Full day-MAKE IT CAMP! 8/28- 9/1 @ OSH

Service Description

Please note ALL students must be vaccinated against Covid 19 to participate in all our camps and classes. MAKE IT! Studio is a hands-on sewing and craft studio with a maximum of 9 students at a time. For Summer Camp we will be turning the lovely Old Stone House of Park Slope into an amazing Sewing and Crafts Studio for 7 weeks. We chose this location because it is a charming place with lots of windows and outdoor access for the kids to stay safe while they crafting and sewing. It will be held daily from 9 am to 3:30 p.m. with a late pick up option to 5pm. Contact us if you would like to register for late pick up. We added this week for all those campers that are torn and can't decide between all our fabulous themes! We will have projects from each our theme weeks, and because this is our last week of camp, we will be able to take a vote and see which projects the kids enjoyed most! There will be one clothing item, a sewn stuffy or pillow, fun jewelry, a piece made from fabric they will design and print or tie dye themselves and some pottery to decorate their room with. They will use the sewing machine and learn new jewelry making techniques and textiles! Our founder Lara’s teaching method is to encourage individual thinking and creativity by letting our students have the freedom to create what they imagine. By offering principles and design guidance to guide this creativity the children will be in a formal yet playful environment that will both teach and entertain. For our repeating students we make sure they continue to be challenged and that they have new projects to entertain them.
