Service Description

We do After School Pick Up for an extra charge from PS 321, PS 39, and PS 118. If you are interested and your child goes to a different school, please let us know. We are happy to offer pick up at other nearby schools, however our minimum is 3 students. We have now added Extended Day until 6pm as an option. If you are interested in both ASPU and extended day, please make sure you click on the correct option in the drop down menu. Studio’s founder, Lara Kazan, who has over 25 years of design experience in the fashion industry. In this fashion design, sewing, and illustration class, children will design and create their own outfits. Alongside sewing their designs, students will work on fun illustration projects. Ultimately, they will design a collection around their outfit, create a design and mood board that reflects their work, and end the semester with a fashion show to showcase their beautiful designs. Lara has learned that many of her students feel more at ease when they have fashion figures that they can use to trace over (their choice). This allows them to be more creative with their designing and not focus all their energy on the anatomy. However, she still teaches tips on how to sketch a fashion figure, as well as use different media, render fabrics, hair and other illustrating techniques.
